Several years ago, a group of locals banded together, knowing that Proston was on the cusp of losing significant pieces of its history. From this time forward, the association has actively sought to curate, preserve and present artefacts related to the past 100 years of Proston and its surrounding districts.
Our members are passionate about preserving and celebrating the history and heritage of Proston and its surrounding districts. We worked hard to establish the Proston Heritage Museum, and are currently coordinating with Proston State School to assist with the celebration of the joint school and town centenary!
The Proston & District Heritage Association meets monthly, on the 3rd Tuesday - 5pm at the Proston Heritage Museum, Blake Street.
